The tripometer you mean... I averaged 17-25 depending on driving style and type (excluding the track, of course). Now I average about 15-23

The EASIEST way to get good gas mileage out of the Evo is to get an MBC and turn it all the way down and try to stay out of boost as much as possible, cruising 80 in 5th on my way to and from Vegas is how I hit ~25ish.

garentee the flash will help quite a bit. these cars run so damn rich from the factory my AEM uego wideband couldnt even read the AFR. all i would see was the most rich the guage could go and that was 10.1

To answer a question the guy said about the evo is kinda light. There is no kind of light car. There is a light car, and there are "Other" cars. A miata is a light car. The evo is not a light car. My ex-wife on a drive from washington st. to PA. she got about 320 a tank, she also put us behind! When i would drive i would get about 260 a tank and that is goin 90 mph. So i think the slower you go on the highway to keep Tach down. Like just go 70. (boring) You can get better gas mileage. If you were really worried about gas mileage you would go just 70. And if you are goin to go just 70 and not have fun. Trade in your car and get a prius!

I hit 95 in my rental Prius on my last vegas trip . Ran it 350 miles with 1/4 tank left and filled up only took $20

I get about 220-250 depending on the driving. Does it suck that much?? What were you driving before a prius?

I want to add to my response of getting close to 30 mpg. I am currently playing with ECU Flash. I noticed that my AFR at a normal hiighway speed sit around 14.7-15.0 nothing less then 14.7. This is obviously cruising low load.

I ma curious anyone else have a wideband that can post up there AFR while cruising at highway speeds?

Stoichometric is 14.7 to 1 so this is exactly what your ECU is aiming for at cruise. It is what I see consistantly at cruise.
