Can I ground my LC-1 to the ECU?

This http://www.thompson-automotive.com/c...11/2559633.htm can be used on the driverside fusebox to get switched power. They are a lot cheaper in O'Rilley's or any well stocked autoparts store

I agree 100%. If you are logging thru an ECU pin, then you should ground the signal ground to the ECU. The power ground should be grounded separately as per Innovate instructions no matter how you log the LC-1.

On the Evo, I wired the signal ground to the battery and the power ground to the chasis.

On my Civic where the ECU reads from the controller directly, the signal ground is connected to the ECU ground and the power ground to the chasis.

Hope this helps somehow!

However, if the LC-1 data are being logged via the analog out wire attached to an unused ECU input (to my knowledge, no one with an Evo is doing this yet), then its necessary to attach the signal ground to the ECU ground so that the analog voltage has the proper reference ground.
