What can't you do in BOOTCAMP?

Just wondering what you can't do in BOOTCAMP for tuning?

I was using a Dell for Ecuflash, evoscan, etc.

Hoping to use BOOTCAMP for those, heard it works... many say they use 98% of the tuning software in BOOTCAMP... what is the 2% you can't use?

Thanks!

You need to have a mac running Intel.

Good to hear, I will download XP Pro tomorrow and try it out!

Meh. I was hoping you were talking about boot camp as in for the military. I was about to have some fun with this one, since I am an instructor at one.

I just logged using evoscan v2.0 and ecuflash v1.32 via bootcamp and XP, worked fine for me. for evoscan 2.0 you have to download net framework 2.0 or something along the line, it will prompt you

Bootcamp allows you to run both Windows and Mac OS on your Mac so you could download torrents and install them for free on the Mac (in the windows side) as well. Parallels is another similar program.

Not than any of us would think about downloading programs this way

I've recently been using my Mac for tuning....

You can do anything on Bootcamp Windows that you can do on a dell.

Cheers!

MacBook pro with Win Vista Basic (or home ed. or whatever they call it), I can do plenty but not everything:

ECUFlash-no problem
EvoScan-no problem
DLL-not working
EvoScan file translation for DLL downloaded from Aktivematrix-not working
Mitsulogger: latest version not working, previous version ok

some of the non-working issues may be due to the fact that Vista was installed with german as the main language and you can change the country, spelling etc. settings but the basic installation stays german, so the programs that are not working cough up the discrepancy between comma, semikolon and period characters when loading EvoScan files.
On a genuine english system there may be no problem at all.

And I canīt make a screenshot (which doesnt mean its not possible, Ijust dont know how since the mac doesnt have the "prnt screen" key. anyone?)

other than that, no problems and no crashes so far.

Great thanks! screen shot on a mac is shift-apple-4, I think you can set it up in the preferences to use the mac shortcut keys in bootcamp as well.

Good luck! Thanks, I will let you know once I get Windows running

im using VMware instead of bootcamp. Windows loads in a window. So far everything seems to be working. I just need to plug into the car tomorrow to see what happens.
