What hardware?

Hey guys I have some questions pertaining to the most preferred tuning hardware.

I basically want some personal opinions to sway me what to buy. I have been throwing around a few different ideas but it is time to make a decision I just need some help with opinions. My thinking thus far; I kicked out the idea of cobb because I have a buddy with that and just from certain things I have been turned away, Utec seems nice but I don't know much about it, Aem ems seems to be the most pricy and I know it is supported by all the ricer mags but I would like some real info on this. Price isn't necessarily an object. I figure the preference has some to do with what the tuner likes to use, with that said can any tuners chime in? What does busher use?

Thanks for any help in advance.

I personally own an AEM, and have played around with it, but ultimately removed it from the car, it is far to complicated, and really takes away from drivability. There are issues with starting, a whole lot of things. I am using the stock ECU (ecuflash) and that seems to work great for up in the 500hp range even. You can even get speed density on the stocker with a maftpro. I am now playing with the idea of a UTEC, but I cannot find much info on the subject. I know the manufacturer has pretty much stopped supporting it, that pay put you off, but I hear its very good simple system, with on the fly map switching. However I cant seem to find if it is compatible with the evo 9!!!

(I have some experience with the motec standalone in my m3, and I would sway against that if your just learning to tune).

Thanks for that. Have you ever asked your tuner what he would prefer? BTW who tuned your car?
