Timing Tuning Infor

Hi, I got a 2.2L kit with PFC Djetro, I am doing the tunning for RUN IN( Eng Just build Up with New Piston, Rod, Crankshaft)... and I load up the standard map and get into a lot of knock(above 60).. have anyone seem the same problem before?. .. is that because of the Timing are too high?

What if I set the timing too low?... that will loss power right?

any suggestion?

as the others have said you have too much IGN timing or the fuel you are using is crap

you should get a full tune sorted out ASAP
until then baby it around, use high octane fuel or use the temp ign adujust to back out timing to protect your engine

you can read the powerfc faq and it tells you how to debug knocking and how to use the temp IGN adjust in the PFC to back out timing to prevent knocking

yeah you have to pull timing. usually 3 counts of knock = 1 degree of timing.
make sure you go in small increments. also you can add fuel to that cell.
Should be able to change 1 cell before/ knock cell/ and 1 cell after.
