well in short think of it as how much boost.
you can think of it as when your on a tredmill, if your just walking briskly you in low load, low RPM. when you start to run as fast as you can your in high load high RPM. does that help?

Think of load as a force to move something. Say, a basket ball and a bowling ball. It takes very little effort to push a basket ball on a flat surface, (little load). Then think about a bowling ball. It takes some effort to start pushing the bowling ball (heavy load) but once you get it moving, it doesn't take as much effort to keep it moving.....

Get the idea?
