Help! No ObdII with autronics? How to pass emissions?
So I have a friend that will pass my emissions test, but here in mass he needs to hook up the ODBII port just to make sure there is no Check Engine light..
Any Ideas?
besides bringing in another evo with stock computer??...

I can tell you from personal experience, you can pass obd2 with an anti fouler, a high flow cat, small cams (maybe big too) and a good tune.
{a good tune that can hold off the cel}
there is a thread where there is talk of overriding the ecu so it thinks all is well, actual use of that flash is a ways off.
automatic you need the maf, might as well use the stock air filter box.
as far as anyone knows you will not find a secret gizmo to get a standalone to pass obd2.... that is why I went back to the stock ecu.

Nothere, Kinda taking this a little OT but.....Check out ths thread For some more detailed info. I've thought more than one about going this route and having DB tune it. One downside depending on who tunes your car is that the FCON can only be tuned by a HKS authorized tuner.
Are there any counties that don't require emissions near you? If so and you have a friend that lives in one of the counties you can "move" to his house and register the car there. I had to do it with my 240sx back in GA.
