can the ecu lose its reflash somehow and go back to stock form?

i ask this meaning can something have happened to make it go back to stock form after i've had it reflashed? the car has lost alot of power! i have no boost leaks, cat looks perfect, no engine codes, stock clutch catches torque unless its barely slipping somehow thats unoticable, the cars drivability is the same just less power. at the same time i felt power loss i noticed my boost only hitting 16-17 ( and thats even with a new boost solenoid) so i put the MBC, set it to 20 and it still feels almost the same.....
the butt dyno by more than just me ( multiple people) feel the loss of power. my dyno sheet shows the power and A/F's and dave at buschur said they seemed normal.... i dont know wtf to do now! i know something is wrong somewhere but i dont know what else i can look at the car only has 10k miles and had the parts on it for 7k.

i ask if it could have lost the reflash because unfortunatly i had underglow on the car and i just noticed the amp was exploded under the car and the fuse was blown..... this shouldnt have effected anything but i duno wat else to look at.

no, the ROM wont change unless someone flashes over it.

sounds like you have boost problems... I would ditch the MBC and get a proper ecu tuned boost setup...

I was told that the ecu will reflash back to stock when you remove the negative battery terminal, that came from a mustang guy lol.

The ECU ROM is sort of like a USB flash drive ... it's not dependent on power to sustain data. It's ROM, not RAM. Tephra is right ... as usual.

if you disconnect the battery the RAM part of the chip will be erased, but this doesn't contain code just variables.

so things like what current CEL's or fuel trims will be erased but fuel maps will stay...

It is non-volatile memory. +1 for tephra.

gotcha its not a boost problem i boost checked it 3 times now, i've also put a bran new boost solenoid in and i still get the same results just now with a mbc i can run what it should be running but still no power. almost like the cat is plugged or something but thats not the case either...... is this a symtom of a turbo seal gone bad possibly?
