Hi

I'm thinking to flash my ecu but don't know what cable i have to use, i did a search and i found these ones

Tactrix openport 2.0
openport 1.3U
openport 1.3M

What is the difference between them? Which one i have to buy? Which one works better for EVO 8?

 

1.3M is for Mitsu only, whereas 1.3U is for Mitsu/Subaru. 2.0 isn't supported fully because of its new design, I've read.

 

The 2.0 will not work with Ecoscan, or Mitsulogger. I had the 2.0 and all I could use it for was to download my stock rom, I had to get the 1.3 to datalog.

 

get the 1.3. either one will work

The link you have works but is slow to receive as it comes from New Zealand and the author of Evoscan. you can also buy cable from tactrix.com which is Colby author of Ecuflash site I believe . http://www.tactrix.com/

one from new Zealand took 8 working days to receive after 12 days of processing time.... There was somebody selling it at the classified forum.

 

So do these limitless cables work the same as the tactrix cables? I thought I read elsewhere on this forum that they for sure did not act the same. The tactrix had worked much better?

 

Bump for an answer. I'm trying to find a Tactrix cable and everytime I find one in the classifieds, i'm about an hour too late since they are already sold!

 

The one from Evoscan (site linked above) will work fine, I have it and it datalogs and reflashes.

 

I need to buy tactrix cable - USB for evo X. Do you know where could I find it in good price??
