That's funny, I just logged on to find information on this ECU.

I talked with one of their guys at SEMA. I was told that Vi-Pec is backed by Ray Hall and some others who formerly used Autronic. Some people have complained that Autronic lacked tech support, so Vi-Pec was started. On paper, the ECU's look pretty good. I'll be checking them out shortly.

I am using the V44 on my Evo 2. Excellent product! Very easy/good software and ALOT of possibilities and very flexible. You can also setup both x- and y axis with what parameter you want. Ie TPS vs RPM, TPS vs Dutycycle, Gear vs boost +++++
Think it have everything you will ever need Only your fantacy will limit you Download software for free and play with it: http://www.vi-pec.com

Have also fitted a V88 to my old 5 cyl Audi Quattro with 5 coils. Started right up and idled nicely with only a little tweak on masterfuel. (similar to Autronic fuel overall multiplier)

And the Quicktune (Autotune) really works. Hooked up my LC-1, put in the right numbers in cal table and the AFR was spot on the Motec PLM that I have on the Dynapack dyno. Only a couple of seconds in each cell, and the AFR was dialed in
Have tried different brands "Autotune", but with different success.

I have been using them on a few different applications and so far have been very impressed. Hardware is working well and looks like good quality stuff. The software is straightforward, works good and they have been adding a lot of stuff in a short span of time.

Seems like a good group of guys behind it, keen on supporting it well.

UPDATE:
I just picked up a Vi-Pec plug-in ECU and CDI for my Evo IX. Good features for the price (antilag, flat shift, launch control) and great customer service.

I'll post a few pictures then results after tuning next month.
