Getting rid of MAF on stock ecu?
Fundamentally you can force the ECU to calculate volumetric efficiency(VE) rather than base its calculations on MAF G/sec. It isn't something you just slap on and requires alot of baseline tuning to get the VE table, which is a modified maf/AF table, to pin down the VE of the motor. Even the same motor in different states of repair will have a slightly different VE table.
It's not an intake. It wont bolt on and requires a fairly steep learning curve. The definitions are not available for all ROMS as of now. I think there may only be a few actually.

well im not really tired of it...im gona be in the hp range where its not gona work to well anymore and i dont really wana go stand alone, because i love the great drivability....and was just wondering what the best solution would be...lol
Contrary to some opinions, I don't know who exactly but I am sure some would argue the point, MAF is better for resolution and drivability by far. Running SD using VE is good but resolution of a MAF sensor is much greater than running based on MAP/IAT.
There are dozens of Evo's running 450+ HP on a stock MAF. How much do you honestly think you're going to be pushing that the MAF is going to be a problem?

You could use ecu+ for logging and the gm maf feature but still do your tuning threw the ecuflash.
But personally if I was looking to make 800hp I would go with a standalone.
Good luck.
