Vishnu Experiences!?
Coming from an SC S2000, I am a new Evo VIII MR owner and I am looking to do some minor power mods. Really looking for 300-350whp from what I have been reading it seems pretty easy to do with these cars. I came across "Vishnu" power packages but I don't see a whole out of people using these products. I know they were big in the Evo community for awhile but I am looking for any useful feedback with owners using Vishnu product/power packages etc....

Ill tell you about Vishnu.
Vishnu is a company based out of the bay area, CA. The owner is named Shiv. He is a smart guy and has worked for OEM car manufactures.
When the WRX hit the US, they started modding that, making exhaust, tunes and other parts.
When the EVO hit the US, they basically abandoned the WRX community for the EVO. Even though they will still sell consumers WRX parts, they havent been in the WRX community or had WRX product updates.
Now two things kinda took Vishnu out of the EVO market.
One, was that they had a pretty popular piggyback system for the EVO called the Xede. They system cost $1000 when it came out and had a bunch of cool stuff (at the time). Then open source ECU flashing came out ie ECUFLash & Tactrix cable. A lot of people moved to ECUflash and Xede prices plummeted. You cant even give one away now.
The second thing was that the new BMW 335i (I-6 twin turbo RWD) came out and they abandoned the EVO market for the new BMW turbo market.
They dont do any EVO 8/9 product development any more or updates. They did grab a x and make a tune and a couple parts for that, but i dont know any more then that.
They did/do have quality parts, but they abandoned the community, so most dont buy from them.

thanks for the input. I don't really have much in the way of a experienced local tuner due to I am in NH and email/mail flash concept weirds me out and I can't be without a car if the tune isn't right. I guess I will keep looking..... I don't mind a road trip but I don't want to do bolt-ons and drive a distance on it.
