Boost reading at idle?

Boost reading at idle?
i just installed my AEM analog boost gauge and when i turn the power on it sets to 0. which i know is correct. When i start the car its at like -17. i thought it was suppost to be at 0 boost. any help is greatly appriciated. thank you

It idle it is pulling vacuum. It's normal.
