thoughts on utec

so im thinking of selling my access port and getting utec i dont know much about it just that the tuner i want to start using is really urging me to get it for my new mild set up(he does not sell it if your wondering) ...ported nine turbo gsc s1s and 104octane unleaded race gas(right around the corner and they will pump it in my car) not sure what psi maybe 28ish if everything goes ok. existing mods 3in tbe intake 880s large front mount, piping. i want to do a 91 octane map aswell

I dont know any evo's that use utec but ive tuned alot of sti's and wrx's with it and it works great.
Im sure you could use it no problem , but the stock ecu is very effective on these cars.

anyone still even use the utec or is ecuflash or something like that the better choice?

Just seen this. Stock ecu is the way to go. I had utec in my car, didn't like it at all. Prev owner had it installed when stock ecu tuning was still in the works. It's a piggyback tuner that's all.

utec is garbage imo ecuflash is the way to go
