Depends on how much you pay for the components.

It's not for everyone, and yes the parts are cheap but it will take a lot of time retuning and adjusting your ECU (cost money unless you do it yourself). Since the current SD does not use a barometer for calculations it might not run so well at different elevations.

The HP gains are minimal on stock turbos. With larger turbos you start seeing the difference.

The tuner has to be on point when going to SD,When done correctly the drive ability and throttle response is great!! The maf is just one more restriction that should go -

Stop by the shop sometime and you can get first-hand information from our customers who have been converted already...

Also if the tuner knows what they are doing the IAT does not need to be bought just the 126Omni 4 bar. I am doing that and it was 126 installed. I am going to have all of it installed on with my Ported FP 84mm Red. They said they use the temp senson in the fuel line or pump as the reading is barely notice about change compaired to the intake itself and have had great success.

This is very true about the IAT sensor but my tuner felt more comfortable with having the AIT sensor installed due to me traveling..I think personally that s.d works the best with the IAt sensor installed it's gives the most accurate reading to the ecu and makes the s.d more complete.Like I mentioned to you before My tuner rather wire the sensor straight to the ecu rather then spicing into the maf does anyone think different on that way to wire it?????

As far as gains I think maybe my picked up 13 whp from it not 40 whp like some either people claim but then again depends on how much your car was being chocked up with the maf from the beginning every car will react different. But Ill tell you this s.d is great and drives 100 times better then the stock maf even when I turn on the a/c it feels like it's off..
