How to tell what reflash I have

Hi guys

I just bought an Evo 9 and the previous owner said that it was reflashed but didnt know how, who, or what the program was. Is there a way I can find that out? Sorry, I came from modding hondas. But the car does have some minor bolt on parts as well. Ive driven an older Evo 8 and my butt dyno tells me that mines a bit faster and has better response. Thanks in advance.

You'll need ECUFlash software and a Tactrix cable to pull the rom from the ECU. This is likely what it was flashed/tuned with.

Search around man there is soooo much info on this stuff

Thanks. I searched but didn't find what I as looking for. So when I take the ecu out, is there any physical evidence that it was reflash like a usb port or chip/rom inside the ecu?

You do not have to take the ecu out to flash it or read it and no there will not be any "physical" evidence on the ecu;

1. If the car running fine with it, why do you care who flashed it?

2. Flashing the ECU is done through the OBDII port under the dash.
