Tune went away?

So I got a street tune by Corr performance out of new orleans this week. Set up launch control and did some timing adjustments, etc.... You could really feel a difference in throttle response and power ( and the launch control was really fun )

Last night I bought a new battery and dropped it in and also took my intake off of the turbo to take some pics ( Trying to find out which turbo I had..bought the car 3 weeks ago). Everything got put back to where it was supposed to.

Today I took off for work and could feel a power loss, felt like before I got the tune and so just to check it out i revved the motor up and it went wayyyy over the launch setting. So back to stock power (at least it feels like it) and the launch control is not there anymore. Did my swapping the battery reset the ecu or something? I'm lost right now and not very happy that i just blew 200$

some help would be appreciated!

Tune should still be there. I'd be thinking more along the lines of a boost leak from when you were messing with things, except for the launch control being gone, no clue what happened there.

If it were boost leak should I just disconnect and reconnect everything one more time? I made sure all clamps were tight as hell before i shut the hood. and yeah the launch control is completely gone. Just took it around the block to see if it just would come back but its gone. I'll call the tuner in the morning.

Tune will not go away, even if the batt is disconnected. Very strange the launch control is gone though, let us know what the tuner says I'm interested to see what the problem is.

I honestly cannot think of any other reason the launch control would go. I'm going to call tomorrow and hopefully they will give me some kind of free diagnostic since they are the ones that tuned it.

On the VIII you can sometimes rev past the launch control if you rev too quickly. Try revving up slowly to the limiter.

Do you have the Tephra Mods? Any chance alt maps are enabled and you accidentally switched to the other map that maybe isn't tuned?

And just making the clamps tight doesn't mean there isn't a boost leak.

Fuel trims will change and I assume your still using a MAF? On my own IX, they never re-learn the same, after disconnecting the Bat. as when there on the Dyno with a big fan blowing on the intake. This is the very reason I went SD.

Fuel trims don't affect WOT power in most cases.

You would think this would be the case, but I've seen it more then once on my IX, and at WOT. My MAF could also have been the problem, which is more likely, but will never know. After converting to SD, this never happened again.

The switch under the clutch could be malfuctioning if the two step doesn't work. It happened to my 03, so intermittently I was able to start the car without pushing in the clutch. Try starting it without a clutch, it could be that simple and as for the the tune always find out what software the tuner flashes your car with. For a $200 flash they probably used ecu flash and some versions have issues like yours.
