ill agree with that, no problem there, but any person who deals with evos should know that that is obviously a massive boost leak especially if he has 500 post he would have read something similar to his problem and not posted an other thread when this has already been talked about at least 500 times. just saying with his "experience" he should know whats whats wrong and not posted a re re question... so there ya go. do you even look under the hood before you post questions?

does the car still idle? or do you have to keep on the accelerator for it to idle? this kinda sounds like the problem i had when i ended up having to buy a new IACV (idle air control valve) a very simple yet expensive fix... hope you figure out the issue soon!

you're so clever with you tampon joke, haven't heard that one before.
im just saying do you not ever get tired of reading the same god damn thing over and over every day cuz someone like you cant search thro the threads. i said its a re re question calling you a re re and you dont need a shop to pop open your hood. im a 21 year old student as well so we are in the same boat there and that makes no diference to me, btw is your car fixed yet? go buy some t bolt clamps and then boost the **** out it

Mr. Perfect

i dont get why people have to ruin threads by not making them relevant to the topic and just help the guy.

First i would do a leak down test to see if there were any boost leaks.

If there is no boost leaks, it is going to cost big money to fix!

NEVER use flash maps!! every car is different even with the same MODS!!! The Flash map could of possibly broke your motor!

So you still have not boost leak tested the car or checked for a popped coupler????

Not to add fuel to the fire, but I also experienced the very same situation as commented by other members. I was at full boost, felt loss of immediate power, followed by a barely noticable woosh sound for lack of a better word. I had to drive home about 2 miles as it was night time and had a horrible time keeping the car from dying by going through the gears rather quickly all the way into 6th so that the car could run at approximately 25 mph without dying. When I got home I immediately opened the hood only to find that my intake hose blew off even though earlier in the day I had replaced the stock worm drive with a T-Clamp (never mind that I used the wrong sized T-clamp). The reason the car acted erradict was simply because the MAF senser has no clue what to do to compensate for the massive air leak and the ECU goes haywire. Something to keep in mind is if one is ever on a long trip out in the middle of no where and this where to happen, what is one to do if one does not have a replacemnt hose on hand... I guess if you have a Tatrix cable one could try to tune it to run with the lack of boost.

I just had another jose pop off last night after I had switched the oem worm drives to t-clamps. The problem is that I purchased them too big. I wonder if there is any thread or if anyone knows where we can find the proper sizing of each tube so that I can order some more correct sized t-clamps online (that is the problem I do not have any local shops offering t-clamps and thus cannot take the old ones to compare).
