How many miles are on the car? Have you ever replaced the transmission fluid before?

My 05 MR is the same way very notchy. Flushed the fluid out(I can only use the diaqueen) and it seems to be the same.

You can use synchromesh, but yeah if you have never changed the fluid that should help a bit. I'd also take a look at Redline too.

Mitsu trans are all notchy from the get go. You can always add ams shifter bushings under the hood and at the shifter base later.

Got my 03 with 60k. Was kinda notchy, especially going to 3rd. I changed my fluid with BG. Still notchy, but not so much. Just the nature of the beast.
IF you've never changed the fluid out before, I would highly recommend it. Just be sure its GL-4.
