What mods, peak boost and type of gas where you running? I didn't notice the problem untill I did a bunch of back to back runs and the timing changes I was making in the e-manage was not coinciding with the dyno graphs, it was sometimes reacting like it should and sometimes it would go wacky and pull a ton of timing across the board and lose 30hp+ everywhere.

I was tuning it on the dyno and was not logging but was looking at the timing advance. We actually saw a little more advance than that with the stock injectors. I found I could keep ECU from yanking back timing by taking out a degree or two at boost ramp up. I tried advancing it a bit at peak torque as well but it did not like that and pulled it back again.

Hi guys

I've installed the emanage with ignition harness. Car starts and runs fine. But everytime i change the values, I realize that there was no change. Datalogger shows timing at 8-10 degrees from 4500rpm and up no matter what i do. Could it be my ignition harness installation??

Are you exporting the value changes to the emanage? You will most likely not see the changes via the datalogger. I believe the timing values are set before they are sent out of the ecu which is before the emanage manipulates them. Use the mapping feature in the emanage software to see input vs. output timing changes.

Also, 8-10 degrees of timing is horribly low. I'll see 11 or 12 right after a shift but then it goes up to 22-23 degrees at redline. What part of the ignition map are you changing and by how much?

992--

Would you mind emailing me some of your maps so that I can see where you are modifying ignition, etc.

Al is coming to my area to do some flashes and I am going just to pick his brain about the emanage because I know he used it with great success early on (6-9 months ago).

I also see 20+ advance at redline on my data logger.

i have a base map setup that increases timing 4 degrees and leans the car out a little bit... i'll be taking it to a dyno in a few months to get it perfect....

Where did you get the map and where does it advance the timing?
