Hks f-con pro v - evo 5 - air temp sensor

Hey Guys,

Quick questions, random issue been having with my car starting after being warm!... it just turns over and turns over. I took it to a hks tuner over here in Japan and he said the ecu thinks the cars too hot therefore wont let it fire...

Anyway, I thought I killed this issue, i discovered that the AIR Intake Temp Sensor for the ECU is tapped into the Plenum Chamber... therefore if car is sitting after being running for a bit, that temp sensor would be red hot when returning to the car after 10-20mins thus reporting a false temp to the ECU....

Is it normal for this sensor to be tapped into the intake mani/plenum? I would of thought it would to be tapped into intake pipe, cold side of turbo???

Anyone shed some light as the issue is driving me nuts!

Thanks in advance!
