E-manage v. Xede

I'm just genuinely curious: What is the difference between Greddy e-mangage and the vishnu xede?

Also, Guru, did you see the Sti v. Cobra Mustang article in this month's Hot Rod Magazine? The sidebar article about tuning metioned Vishnu as one of the primary Sti tuners. Is that true. Shiv's WRX accomplishments are well known, but I wasn't aware Vishnu even offered staged systems for the Sti.

What exactly does the E-manage do?

I know the xede is a piggyback system for the ECU that kinda 'overrides' settings. I know it's more complicated, but just trying to get a general knowledge of options.

So the Greddy also sorta 'tricks' the car into more power?

I really like the fact that you can control fuel and boost from a single display unit with the emanage and E-01, although I have absolutely NO idea where to put that unit.

Bah, they always say that. As for STi tuning he has worked a little on it but nowhere near as much as I have and I actually release the data to the public so they can learn. I've gotten 322 whp and 340 ft lbs of torque at the wheels on my dyno with stock turbo and stock cat back on the STi. I just finished a GT30R project on a regular WRX and I think I beat the pump gas record at 352 whp and 309 ft lbs of torque. More than a 20G. My STi is getting the GT35R turbo installed next week. It's in but I have to make an adaptor plate for the compressor cover and we are spinning the alluminum for the new MAF housings we are releasing. IT should lay down 450-480 whp minimum. I don't really want to push it too much since it is stock engine. Getting back on topic, THe E-Manage and Xede are same thing basically except the E-Manage doesn't have boost capabilities built in and is a heck of a lot cheaper and easier to use. The software is good and it offers full datalogging which is nice. I am using it on my STi currently. I think the UTEC will be a much more pwoerful device but is not available yet. UTEC will be a wonderful device for the EVO as well once released next month but personally I like the Power FC the best. That being said the E-Manage is incredible unit and I love using it on a variety of applications. I think it's more than enough for most EVO people especially if you're running stock turbo. It even has large injector calibration built in. Really the best value out there if you ask me.

I have used both and I feel the Xede is very nice and does not fight the ecu as much as emanage. Have you used the Xede yet to comment like you just did?

And again why don't you back it up how the Xede and Emanage are the same. They are simular in the sense of piggy backs but not in operation. The software from XEDE is very easy to use and you can scale MAF or even run MAP based on larger injectors. The Xede can run standalone with a addtional MAP senser input.

And cheaper? Emanage 300 Ing harness is 90? and MBC is 50 for boost. Now not to splice your factory wiring harness 150 fields harness

300+90+50+150=590 and no base maps have to start from scratch.

895 Xede comes with everything. Plug and play 10 min install.
