Also, I went to autronic's web site (www.autronic.com) and saw that they have a "replacement board" for my car.Is this the same as the PNP board?
thanks

Yes it is the same Plug N Play board shown on Autronic.com, the board comes with a base map which is prettygood. We sell the board and can supply additional maps if purchased thru us and can do custom tunes. Either PM me or call 631-254-4871

Hey does the autronic save the custom tuning information if you disconnect the battery?

Of course!

Let's say your car battery dies. The Autronic maintains all information just like the factory ECU.

Better yet...if you are programming and either your battery in the car or battery in the laptop dies, the Autronic will retain all the information that was last saved.

Autronic is not vulnerable to car battery disconnect.

Sickdriver-

Here is a link you can check out. It doesn't show a wiring diagram but it gives you an idea.

I'm curious as to the gains in HP Evos have gotten with just the autronic installed using 91 octane... I'm in CA, so I don't have access to 93 at the pump...

Does the PnP autoronic for the Evo8 utalize the stock knock sensor, or does it still run without utalizing knock? Thanks.

No knock control. This system relies on the hands of the tuner. There has been much debate about knock control vs. no knock control. If you are confident in yours or your tuners knowledge then there isn't anything to worry about.

I have questions about the board.

Does the board work with electronic boost controllers or do you have to go back to the stock boost control solenoid?

How does this speed density thing work? It states on some websites that the stock MAF sensor is no longer used. Does this come with the necassary hardware to remove it?
