More Innovate WB 02 problems

I purchased an innovate lc-1 about 6 months ago.. installed it properly per the manufacturers specs... i kept getting error codes saying the 02 sensor was bad... innovate had me pull the entire unit back out of the car and send it to them for repairs.. turns out yes... the 02 sensor was bad... no problem they fixed it and sent me a new one... six months later im having more issues with this unit....

here's the problem... i can turn the ignition on the WB goes through its normal heater calibration and the gauge reads 21.8 with no error codes per the calibration LED.... I start the car and the Gauge goes berzerk.. constantly changing between a flashing 7.4 and 21.8.. at times the unit appears to actually be pulling an idle AFR of around 14-15.... Again the LED is not flashing indicating any error code.. which i assume means the LC-1 is reading the 02 sensor correctly.. and that the 02 sensor is giving out this "light show" on the gauge... so i re calibrated the sensor per the instructions... everything worked fine for about 10 minutes...

i take the car out run two 3rd gear pulls... log it.. and then it goes right back to the same thing??? flashing random values between 7.4 and 21.8... i re calibrated it again and now as soon as i start the car.. it goes to its light show...

Anybody else running this unit come into this problem? I'm really beginning to think innovate makes a ****ty product.... i know they are gonna ask me to rip the whole unit out and send it back again.. and if thats the case im just gonna trash this WB and go with something else..

from my experience its going to fluctuate a bit unless your under heavy load. Also at what position is your sensor at ic. 12oclock, 3oclock , i have read that the position can affect readings also..

it's doing this constantly.... sensor is at about 11... its in a Megan Racing test pipe... i have had it in there for about 6 months.. no issues.. the gauge read fine.. it worked like a charm.... i may try and flip the test pipe over and run it at about 2 0clock.. but i doubt that will do anything... seeing as it was running fine before.. at 10-11

its very finicky. install LM programmer. Open lm programmer with the ign ON. Look at the settings. I will bet the setting got changed to a custom setting instead of gasoline.

With innovates widebands do not connect the usb port while the ignition is on. Plug your usb in before you power the car and do the same with unplugging the usb. Make sure power is off before taking the usb out

Sounds to me like you keyed on the ignition with the sensor unplugged from the harness.... this re sets the unit to heater calibration mode.... you then have to go through the whole calibration procedure... both the heater and the sensor... it's in the manual.

Check the settings as others have mentioned, but if you powered the unit on without the sensor plugged into the harness then you need to re do both calibrations.

i know exactly when i did it too... after my logging pulls i left the auto timer running.. unplugged the USB from the computer and ran in the house... soon as i hooked it all back up... ran the LM programmer.. it was set on a "custom" fuel setting.. i would have NEVER figured that out.. set it back to "gasoline 14.7" working like a champ again.. i appreciate it...
