Now that my Evo is fixed, is my tune bad?

Background:

Last year randomly during an autox event, my car stopped making boost. Went from 22psi to about 7 seemingly instantly.

I just recently discovered the problem to be a plugged Cat, I guess there was so much back pressure between the exhaust manifold and the cat that the turbo couldn't spool.

Today I took the cat out, removed all the catalyst and reinstalled it. Sure enough I am making boost again.

Now:

I have reason to believe the cat was in the process of dying the last time I had the car tuned, not completely plugged, but creating much more back pressure than a properly flowing exhaust would have. Now that I have completely removed the restriction is my engine at risk? I am concerned about potential overboost or some other conditions resulting from the drastic change in flow through my exhaust.

Car:

Almost completely stock... I have a Perrin intake to the compressor inlet, Grimmspeed EBCS, and now an empty OEM cat housing (the rest of the exhaust is stock also).

I appreciate any insight you may be able to give me.

Thanks!

-Bryan

Make sure you're boost levels are where you were tuned for.

i would call your tuner up and ask him, i see no problem with it but i would double check with a tuner.
