do i need a second 02 sensor with cobb AP?

do i need a second 02 sensor with cobb AP?
If i put the stage 2 flash on my evo 8 using the cobb AP and disconect my srcond 02 sensor will my car still throw a code or does the AP eliminate that sensors use? Thanks

My understanding is that you can mask the o2 sensor CEL if you have no cat, but I don't believe you need to disconnect that sensor.
