Question about the 2.1 builds
Why isn't there a lot of 2.1 builds out there? I know of only a few. Are they not good for DD? It is only a 2.0 crank in a 2.4LR block. Right? Still using the long rod that the 2.4 uses and the same piston. What is the 2.0 crank spec? 100mm? And what comes with the 2.4? 94mm or 88mm? I wanted to know some of these questions because I am going to be rebuilding my BR2.4LR. I was thinking about making it a 2.1. My car is my weekend worrier and go to the track sometimes. What are the pros and cons on both the 2.4 and 2.1? Is it only RPM limits? I know the LR2.4 can go to 9k and the LR2.1 can go to 10k.(noted on buschur's web site) But is that the only difference? Will the 2.1 make the turbo spool slower than the 2.4? Any info would be great to know. Thanks
