HKS FCON Vpro
Hi Evom
Looking for some help. I just bought an evo that's is equipped with hks vpro and was built and tuned by Sean from Iveytune. Since I've got it, it's had a starting issue - thread here https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...e-warm-up.html
I've checked all the usual issues with the coolant sensor, cam sensor, and crank sensor and they all check out. Previous owner whose from NJ says there was never an issue like this before but he also never drove it either, maybe 1000k in the last2 years. No one locally (MN) is an authorized dealer as we all know HKS's history and there's only a small number of shops that are.
So I'm really leaning towards the vpro being the issue but no way for me to check that I'm aware of (lmk if there is). So can anyone tell me the following:
1. Would the VPro have this capability to shut the injectors from firing if the motor reached a certain temps? If so, why would Iveytune tune it that way. It was tune to be a dd.
2. Closest hks tuner to MN
3. If you don't think vpro is at fault, then what can it be?
Any advise would be great.
Thanks

I would ditch the vpro and go back to stock ecu and go speed density, anytime there's a prob with you the tune or need / want to make small adjustments u have to go to whoever is hks certified and pay for dyno/tune costs
