Tactrix 2.0 and evoscan

Hi everyone! So I am currently tracking down parts to build my aem uego cable to log afr with evoscan and also found out I need the mitsu reflash connector as I got the tactrix 2.0 cable! I looked at buying the adapter online as I am in Canada and its only $2.50 us lol unfortunately shipping is $11 us! I have been looking at the adapter and from what I can see it is simply a connector with one wire on it, I am thinking i can just hard solder the 3.5 female connector direct to the wire on the plug in the car! Is this acceptable or should I buy the adapter and pay ridiculous shipping?! Opinions?

Ok so its actually a 2.5mm mono connector, I will be running this wire tonight and seeing if it works, will update for future if anyone else would want to go this route and just have the connector under the dash right beside the obd port to plug into when needed! Thanks for everyones input....all 56 viewers

My only input would be how ridiculous you are for *****ing about $11 shipping for a part that has to cross an international border. Move to the US if you don't want to pay a higher rate...

It's eleven dollars!!!
