ohms and recreating a circuit

I've replaced my oem fuel tank with a custom single side tank and now only have one fuel float. The oem wiring feeds through both in order to make the gauge work correctly. I really am only concerned with if its empty or not but if possible I would like the full sweep to work. From what I understand with this circuit that will not be possible.

I tested the saddle side float and came up with these values tested at the potentiometer.

5 ohm full
76.5 empty

The fuel pump side float.

5.1 full
39.5 empty.

Do you just add those together to get the full ohm sweep of the factory gauge?
10 full/116 empty

Since I'm removing one potentiometer from the circuit how do I trick the gauge into at least showing empty when its empty? Will adding a 76.5 ohm resistor fix the issue or just throw the entire reading of the gauge off?

These are the values another member posted on here from the service manual tested at the vehicle connector.

Primary:
Full - 6.5 (+/- 1) OHM
Empty - 41.2 (+/- 1) OHM

Secondary:
Full - 6.5 (+/- 1) OHM
Empty - 78.8 (+/- 1) OHM

Have you been able to work this out? I'm looking into the fatfab fuel cell also, but being a "full street" car i'd like to know when fuel is low also.
