Just Ran A Datalog for my car

Who can i show to further help me diagnose my car? I have a data log to show in Excel, but i dont know what i'm looking at really. I have zero knock which is good, but my timing jumps really good. should i be concerned?? Do people charge to look at logs? Thanks.

Zip up the excel file (window xp or later -> right click on the excel file->send to -> compressed (zipped) folder)

You should see the zipped folder in the same location as the excel file.

Use the attachment button from evo M, click on choose file, find the location of the zipped file, press open, then upload it.

Finally submit the post

Enjoy your weekend guys~!

It doesn't show load, wideband, or boost. Also, you say you have no knock but it shows up to 14 counts in partial throttle. You should also log knock voltage so you can try to distinguish between real and phantom knock.

Holy crap. It does show knock. I'm such an idiot. I swear I've look through that plenty of times. Awww man. Wtf is wrong with me?? I guess for boost, wideband and load. I don't have wideband yet. Boost is on MBC. And load...how would I go about doing that??
Also how do I do the other thing you were talking about??

I've done plenty of full power runs and so far the car is running really good. With that amount of knock I'm surprised it's still running.

I'm looking for a uego or zeitronix wideband. And also looking to go back EBC

I find the best way to go through my logs is by removing any columns I don't want, applying filters to all the columns, then freezing the top row of panes in Excel. Then I can filter for whatever I want, be it knock count or 500 RPM snapshot windows.

The following are links you need to follow if you're going to try to datalog and tune the car yourself.

https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ec...ead-links.html

https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ec...-tune-evo.html

https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ec...-ecuflash.html

It's daunting and scary the first time you mess with ECUFlash but it's pretty simple once you get the hang of it.

As far as logging parameters you need to know load, AFR, and timing so you know where in your fuel and/or timing maps you need to make corrections. You don't really have to log boost pressure but I like to so I can filter my log based on all boost values greater than 0, 10, 20, etc. In order to log boost you would need a different MAP sensor and you would have to add some lines of code to you ECUFlash file to get it scaled correctly. I believe you can use a JDM MAP sensor, an Evo X MAP sensor, or buy aftermarket like OmniMAP.
