Is there a simple way to data log using Tactrix cable while on the track. My car is a work in progress, and I would like to have telemetry to look at after each run group.

What data are you looking for?

Tactrix cable + Evoscan can log ECU type stuff, but it's not going to do GPS or anything like that.

My vote is Evoscan as well. You can see everything the ECU sees, so as far as engine parameters you'll be set there.

The factory ecu will not show you oil pressure or afr. You can wire in an external wideband and setup evoscan to get it through the obd port, but I don't recall seeing anyone do that with oil pressure.

I had a zeitronix in my car already, so I got their SD car recorder unit to add on. Very simple and can record a ton of data on a micro SD card. The downside is there are limited channels (I get boost, afr, rpm, tps, egt and oil pressure). I still need to figure out what I want for gps and accelerometer data and how to integrate it all.

No loose items in vehicle while on the track so no laptop.
I'd log with a 2.0 and micro SD card.

You can have a laptop in the car for 60 seconds

What is required to do this? Besides the actual micro SD card and cable.
