Stall between gear shift and overboost problem

Hi guys,

I am having a problem with my Evo 7 GSR.

My clutch went bad and I got it replaced with a Exedy Organic HD clutch. I also got the TBE, Fuel Pump and POD filter installed at that time as well.

After I got the car back from the mechanic, everytime I shift gear, rpm drops to 100-200 rpm and sometimes the car will stall (Idle is still normal at 1000rpm) .

I thought that the POD filter, Fuel Pump and TBE upgrades are causing this problem and I may need a tune to fix them up.

I went to a reputable tuner and got it tuned to 215Kw @23psi.

The problem still exists. My tuner put back the car on the Dyno today and try to fix this problem but he still could not find the solution.

Since this car is my DD and I have to go to work, I took the car back and I told my tuner that I would come back after a few days.

Tonight, I was driving at a normal speed of 60km/h, the check engine light suddenly flashed for 2,3 times and my car started acting strange. The turbo start spool up really early at about 1500rpm (normally starting spooling at 3000rpm) and the spool sound is really loud. I was so scared and only driven at maximum 3000 rpm, just trying to get home.

Does anyone know what has happened with the car ? I am so worried that if I keep driving the car, it will blown up the motor.

Thank you for your help
