Hey guys. I have a ix with a few mods, upon acceleration in mainly 4th and 5th in boost I'm experiencing decently high amounts of knock. I do not have a laptop to data log anything or make tuning adjustments but I will say this

I'm running 93 octane.
26psi
Kelford 272s
Toxic fab tubular manifold and o2 dump
Walbro 255
Fic 1250cc injectors
Afr about 10.1- 10.5 under full load.
Just recently put new plugs in it
Gsr transmission and act clutch
Hard pipes
4" intercooler
Unknown downpipe
Litespec titanium cat back
Test pipe

With the mod list, I want to say that this was present even before I put the 02 dump on.

Any info would be greatly appreciated. I have heard of people on dsms grounding tthe knock sensor, also moving it but I would like to know of something serious is going on in there. Any help would be nice. Thanks guys.

try revving the engine to redline a few times while stationary and log the knock

sounds like a noisy engine but I had a 06 MR with significant knock on 93 that appeared to be false but quickly went away with e85.

 

I can't data log or anything due to not having access to a laptop. Can I log it by counting the flashes or would that be inaccurate

 

It only will flash depending on the threshold the tuner set the cel flash to come on at, the amount of flashes the cel does is not an indicator of how much knock you are seeing. I have seen some tuners set the threshold to 7 for the slow flash.
