hehe.. That looks like his laptop.. The UTEC's chassis/bracket is large, it houses the UTEC circuit board, and the stock ECU.. it bolts into the location the ECU came from, which is behind the glove box.. Its actually almost the same size as that laptop but not as tall.. Its about 7" high by 12" long by about 1.5-2" thick..

So it won't be protruding out of nowhere right? Whew, was worried about that for a second. I'm guessing that little silver box is the "tuner"?

The UTEC "fits" the Evo8. We don't make the EVO8 fit the UTEC.

It is a product engineered for the EVO8, not a universal product we've tried to cram into the space behind the glove box. Unless you take your glove box off, you'd never know it was there.

The Silver box is the tuner. It is a universal product that is a little harder to mount. The best solution is to leave it in the glove box and use the Gameboy as a display when it's available. You get more information from the Gameboy then you do from the front of the tuner anyway. The Gameboy smart cable will also let you tune and log your UTEC.

Wouldn't you NOT need an EVC after the UTEC install?

Another newbie here .... sorry

But how do you mount the UTEC behind the glove compartment? Is there an attaching bracket provided for you to do that?

Blue,
The UTEC case is its own mounting bracket.
