UTEC Revisions (Flash info)
UTEC Revisions (Flash info)
I saw a v1.3 UTEC flash update posted, whats fixes/differences are there from the shipped version of the flash?
I also noticed the STG1 map was revised, which is a good thing, my car runs better in stock mode (position 0) than with the MAP included in my UTEC, the timing was a bit lame, and the fuel map was a bit too lean, really down on power.. (I get no knock whatsoever regardless)
I figure I'd start this thread so you guys at TurboXS can post information with regard to revisions.

Jack,
It's not an upgrade, it is the same as the software that shipped with your utec.
In the event we do have an update it will be on that webpage. We will have our next update coming soon that will have open loop fuel control and allow you not to need a reflash for rev limit control, built in fuel cut defenser and injector scaling, etc.
Regarding the stage one map.
The great thing about the utec is that its user tunable. We know very well that every car is different and that some cars will run better with certain things done but not so well with others. It's supplied as a starting point at a minimal
. What intake do you have?
Our new map is just a developement of our seat time with the Evo utec on several cars other than our own shop car which is just a freak with what we get away with.

I currently have the Buschur filter and Buschur turbo back with 3" cat.. I was aware of the maps being conservative, but I was really surprised that my car was tuned aggressively "Stock" compared to alot of others. I've already revised the map a bit for this combo, but until I get install a few other of the items I have, and put it on the dyno, I'm not going to run the map since until I have the chance to data log it with the Tuner installed.
You guys have a great product, and I want this thread to be the "Sticky revision" thread where you folks can post updates. I figured the UTEC software was the same as what came flashed, it was really for everyones benefit that I asked.

Jack,
They are the same as far as function goes. Just that we hard coded the default parameters.

Take it easy man.
