stand alone

What is a better stand alone engine management system, hallman or aem?

Both are good, as far as I know more tuners know how to use AEM though so it will be cheaper to tune on AEM. Be careful though, if you have emisssions in your area you will not pass with a standalone so don't waste your money.

yes we are an emissions state where i am...why wouldnt standalone pass?! no evap monitor?

No evap, and no OBD2. Most standalones don't check for emission and they don't output for OBD2 readiness systems.

just find a tuner that knows how to tune with a tephramod rom and you don't need a standalone. There is a guy who just ran in the 8's on the 1/4 mile with the stock ecu. https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...7-165-mph.html
