TurboXS tuner questions

hi gang...after doing some searching i couldnt find some answers i was looking for about the turboxs tuner...hopefully someone has experience with this unit to answer..

1. considering i dont have a UTEC and i heard you can datalog to your laptop, how is the datalogging program?

2. is there datalogger used withing "Hyperterminal"?

3. does it graph?

4. could it log boost (aux input)? (dont have UTEC!)

5. anyone got a sample log?

6. how does the datalogger compared to the FJO logger?

thanks in advance!

Yes, you can datalog, and it uses Hyperterminal, no special software required.. It has several inputs, including a map sensor (boost) and EGT sensor input, so it is already competative with the FJO, it has additional inputs, digital and analog, therefore you can probably even capture Injector Duty Cycle and any other data you might want..

Graphic currently is not built into the tuner, HOWEVER, the Gameboy interface (and the info we've seen) appears to have that feature. Though you can get comma delimited data logs, save them to your laptop, and easily graph them in MS Excel or any other spreadsheet program (or write your own app to munge the data) Turns out that once I got used to the format of the data, I can almost 'picture' the graphs in my head when I review the data itself, but most call me Odd anyway..

Although the map sensor is not yet available from TurboXS, they were kind enough to include the Map sensor information we provided to them so you can make your own to use with either the UTEC or Tuner..

I'm sure someone who actually works for TXS can elaborate even more, but I'm glad I waited for this product and chose it over the other products out there..

Which reminds me, if you get the tuner, you might want to call up TXS and pick up an extra set of sensors and harness, so you can perminently mount it in your car, but remove it and use it to tune other cars (TurboXS, you guy's will be hearing from me shortly to get an extra set of cables and sensors)
