Question Stock tune knocking? Or is it Phantom knock?

Hello all!

My IX has relatively minor mods, Perrin Intake, ETS LICP & a spoolinup COP. I logged car & its showing 14 - 16 counts of a knock at redline. I'm not super knowledgeable on this subject but I know enough to know that 16 counts of knock is terrible. I'm hoping someone can look over my log & give me a better idea of whats going on. My car is running the 88590016 ROM from the Mitsubishi PCM reprogramming service campaign.

If I need to provide anything else please let me know. I appreciate all help. Thanks.

you are knocking ALOT, even before redline. That 16 counts though you would feel pulling timing I would think.

You'd want to sort out the fuel trims first.
Ideally they should all be at zero.

The low one is pegged out so can't self adjust any more.
You might have an air leak or low fuel pressure.

That would mean the ecu is pulling fuel because its running rich.

They're normally -ve when you've fitted a bigger pump but not measured the pressure and not upgraded the FPR.
In this case it's the opposite.

You'd really be wanting to get rid of that aftermarket intake pipe.......it might be upsetting the AFM readings.
Put the stock intake back on.............stock intakes are best anyway.

What makes me believe I dont have an air leak is my boost gauge has always shown -16 -17.

Now that I think about it, the T fitting that came with my Innovate gauge seemed a little big for that tiny FPR vacuum line between the FPR and Intake manifold. I wonder if its being pinched?

I can try to replace that line with a factory sized one & do another log?

I can't put the stock intake back on because the little plastic tabs that keep the MAF nuts stationary broke during removal. I can try to wash out the foam filter & see if its clogged up? If a tune is my best option I should just get it done.
