Evo 8 ECU Communications port
Hi all....please be gentle, I'm brand new.
Issue: I have a Evo 4 rally car, fitted with Evo 8 ECU, running Autronic SMC PNP board. I can not find EVO 4 OBD2 connector (not surprising, new ecu, new loom I gather). I did think I would find OBD2 connector somewhere, but can not?
What I wish to do is get data logging info from ECU, and hope to bluetooth it via plug in module to overlay data on camera.
My main question is.....is the little 3.5mm? [2.5mm] RS232 type plug on the ECU capable of passing data logging info to a OBD2 connection? I don't know much about it, and as simplistic as the audio type plug looks, apparently it can.
Any help appreciated

Hey,
Thanks for the info. After many hours of trying to get the correct wiring diagram, you are spot on the money!
Thanks very much for your help, it has put me on the right track. It may be easier to use the audio jack to serial...and then an adapter to bluetooth, only because of the relative inaccesability of the wiring loom.
But at least I have options and a clear path ahead.
Cheers
Mark
