OBD II Port, the white port next to it....

I believe I have an idea what the second COM port is next to our OBD port. According to mitsubishi's tech info this too is a com port for the OBD II system. I have a fealing this is a power pin. I hooked up my TMO logger as I do with everyother car, and on the EVO it says installed incorrectly or lacking power. Now I know it's installed right becasue it works on all the other vehicles i've tested it on. My only other guess is that this could be some sort of power leed. Any opinions or ideas?...

Yes i know where the OBD II port is for scanners, my comment was I believe this port is a power out port to power some devices. Both ports are used for OBD II scanning. The port on the right is the main OBDII port, I believe the other is ONLY a power out. Any other thoughts?

According to mitsubishi's wiring diagrams, its a DATA port.. From what I can tell its the "Old Style" Diagnostic port used by the older mitsubishi diagnostic hardware.

If you get the service manual and check the wiring diagrams, it will tell you where that wire leads. This should give you a pretty good picture of what it does

According to the wiring diagram, it's wired to the "Data" line.. The same line that is on the OBD-II Connector..
