Exclamation Knocks after S2 Cams / Low power

HI all,
I think Its my first time posting here, ill try to be as detailed about the issue as possible..

Few days Back I installed S2 cams with SuperTech Dual Valve springs and retainers also refreshed the head with new Valve seals and redid the Valve seats..
ARP head bolts .
Started the car and checked the comression it was 180 across all 4 Cylinder.

Car details.
EVO 5 With EVO 8 engine..
Evo 7 ECU JDM
GSC S2 Cams Billet
SuperTech Dual Valve Springs and retainers
O2 Dump open air
3" Exhaust straight (no cat or anything)
China Intercooler 3" Apexi
LICP and UICP.. 2.5"
Blitz BOV
Fuel : 92 Ocatne check through octane Analyser
Turbo : EVO 6 with 10.5 exhaust side / Turbo Lab of America 20G, 7 blade billet Compressor wheel.

Issue.
Stock motor with stock turbo I was Making 290 to 300 Hp @ VD, Boost was 1.7 bar tapering to 1.5 . I also have a Dyno Graph for that..

When I installed the cams the car started to knock with the Previous tune, boost was 1.4 bar at this point. took out some timing and it still knocked took more timing out ..
it keep knocking untill I reduce the Boost to 1.3 bar(lowest I can go) .

Finally where it stopped Knocking I put the details in the VD and found its now making 284WHP. :/
Compression Graph Stock Cams Vs S2 with Billet wheels

The Timing at which It stopped Knocking..at this point adding a single degree would make it start knocking..
at some rpm point it have 2 counts of knock still...

Asked a friend to Send me his map.. that was an Evo 8 ,
flashed it and took a run and it ran perfect and the results where recorded on the graph.
Stock Cams vs GSC S2 and Billet wheel.

Was very happy to see the result , but it didnt lasted long ...
The Second time I Floored it, it knocked way badly as the timing was way aggressive in my friends EVO 8 map..
I had this Issue before of knock while i was tuning it that same times it ok, but some times it knocking bad but the was rare...

What I have checked...
Timing Belt : Checked.
Ignition Timing Checked through Gun..
Boost Leak done..

My friend sugget its the intercooler causing the issue...

Thanks for looking your input is Highly Appreciated and Super Welcomed..

Hello Salman,
There are a few things i see which need to be addressed
1- Ignition map- It is way too conservative
2- Your Chinese intercooler, change it asap.
3- In most of the cases i have seen this type of knocking is related to some thing resonating
than running more ignition advance.

His timing map might be conservative because he's using 92(ron) fuel. But you need to verify if your knock counts are real via the use of detcans, those head springs & retainers can cause phantom knock. I believe that the S2 cams are mismatch with your turbo, you'd need a much larger turbo to take advantage of S2s gains which are beyond 6000rpm. I'd install BC stage2 or HKS 272 or Tomei poncams with such sized turbo.
