Upstream O2 required with evolink?

Hey everyone,

I apologize if this is a silly question, but when using a pnp link ecu that has a wideband signal from a gauge, is the factory upstream O2 still required? I’m going to be getting a downpipe custom fabricated for my FP Zero, and would like to leave that sensor out to clean up that area of the engine bay.

Yep it's required if you want closed loop fueling. Closed loop gives a better idle, good part throttle driveabilty, and the best fuel consumption. On the other hand if this is a race car and you don't care about those things remove it and run open loop.

No link doesn't require the front o2, you can use your wideband for closed loop fueling on link.
