We have an Evo 5 here in Germany and with a fresh OEM plus engine (forged internals, GSC 1 Cams/springs, ATP intake, 1050 ID injectors, Evo 9 turbo, full 3 inch exhaust with 200 cell cat).
Currently OEM ECU with no boost...runs great with 25 mpg!
But we have just received a full Link Evo 8 ECU (CAN Wideband and harnesses).
You’ll likely need to contact a tuner to supply a custom base map or full tune. There’s a lot of variables and I would not recommend just trying to run a tune from another car on a new engine like that. Custom tune can be done in the dyno or remote through an Etune.

I did get it running. Even Link provided a base tune for the 4G63 and it ran quite reasonable on it (no WOT). I then contracted Jay @ Boosted Tuning who has been very helpful especially around the messy weather Stuttgart - having to take a winter break. We are reconvening though and hope to have WOT complete in near future.
