IAT Question

is it possible to run a second IAT sensor seperate from the sensor incorporated into the maf sensor? or override the MAF IAT with external sensor in manifold while still using MAF?

Yes, you can run a IAT sensor on the upper intercooler piping. Spoolinup makes a extension harness that powers the sensor using the MAF connector. However, you would not be able to power the MAF sensor anymore. This is the way to convert your Evo to Speed Density.

cool thanks man, ya i dont want to do speed density. i just wanted to take readings of the actual AT in the manifold for tuning if i couldnt mate it with the VAF. ive seen people do it through the fitting where the brake booster comes into the manifold as well. that was probably the route i was gonna take but no sense if its not possible. id run speed density if hp was 500+ but till then lol. its actually very effective if its setup correctly. its better technology then speed density but much more finicky to setup. many factors people arent aware of including myself
