Normal AFR's

OK guys.. Now that I've finally got my tuna installed.. I noticed my AFR's are really lean.. and that is WITHOUT correction at all..

What ranges are you guys seeing in MAP 0

and with your tuned MAPS?

What is a good range? What is too rich, and what is too lean?

My O2 sensor is located in the Downpipe, about 8" from the stock O2 housing (thats where the muffler shop put it)

In closed loop, its always hovering at about stoich which is normal..

One thing I noticed was my MAF frequency is a little low compared to the Hz I was getting with the S-AFC but thats something I was expecting to have to adjust after getting several messages on other UTEC's with MLP's not going above 80 or so..

I'm hoping now I can spend more time tuning for real and I can actually use a MAP now instead of switch position 0 (Stock mode)

My map sensor is installed now too.. but the calibration is WAY off.. gotta spend some time on that..

No Idea yet as I don't have my tunner yet. I have a dyno session comming up saturday (24th). My afr's will be off since they will be sniffing from the tail pipe after the cat.

hey Jack, post a log. I have several on here. You can compare yours to mine. I really wish i knew what AFR @ what load site is optimal. Check this out. I took off the Typhoon and installed the factory box and went leaner accross the board???? Man, we need a MAP/SD setup... Ray

I took a log last night with my MAP switch set to 0.. the richest I've seen it get was 12.0 or so.. and If I recall, I didn't see the MLP's ever go over 80 (though the load points aren't used in Map0, its good reference).. I am going to calibrate the new MAP sensor today, once I do that, my logs will also have boost values which will be invaluable in tuning..

This could explain why my car always ran alot stronger than most (a 12.93 bone stock is pretty damn quick)

Unfortunately I don't have a tner yet, but I will soon. For now, i am using the LM-1. I haven't connected the RPM converter on it yet, but I will later today. For now here is a map of the TurboXS Stage 1 map.

I hover right ar 11.8-12.0 at 20lbs of boost.
