vehicle speed sensor specs for aftermarket ecu setup

searching for the type of sensor evo 8 uses for speed sensing, number of tooth, so I can read speed on aftermarket ecu

If anybody knows, thanks for sharing

Hey, as far as I know, the VSS is a hall effect sensor. It outputs 4000 pulses per mile. So if you are travelling at 60MPH, you should see 60 x 4000 = 240,000 pulses per hour, which is 66.66 pulses per second.

You can take a multimeter and measure the frequency, while driving, to verify.

Many aftermarket ECUs have calibrations. Hope this helps.
