Question Speed sensor, what happens when you disconect it??????

I was wondering what effect disconecting the speed sensor would have other than no speedometer. Im NOT planning on disconecting mine or anything, ; I was talking to a DSM guy with an Eclipse who said it wouldnt effect the way the car runs at all, except you would have no speedometer. I told him the car (Evo) would probably run like sheeet because the ECU uses it in other ways. Anybody know????

I'll third the two above, but I'd be curious to know if the car would go into limp mode or something.........

I would leave it plugged in. As far as my imagination can run I can see no reason why you would disconnect it....
