UTEC Makes Horsepower...

Ok.. Now that I got your attention.. I've got 2 new images, one shows a power graph (which is probably off slightly) and the second image shows some interesting bits of data that I want you guys to give me your opinions on...
1) I discovered my stock BOV won't hold boost and causes the boost to drop off
2) the MAF signal is bouncing like you would not believe..
3) the AFR's over 5500 rpm are rich, and a little lean below that.
4) My injector duty cycles HIT OVER 90% thats way higher than normal

Now for the groovy pictures.. I REALLY Need you guys input.. Oh, BTW I used a Boost only map (no timing or fuel compensation at all this is what my stock ECU is doing) and I got no knock whatsoever.

Hardware is Buschur Turbo-Back, with 3" Cat, UTEC, and Buschur Air Filter.. THATS IT on this pull... I need to adjust the definition file for calculating horsepower so I need you guys input to figure out how off it is.

Jack, i posted my dyno sheet (finally) on another thread in the utec section. (went to Dyno-Comp) I have a 3" Burschur turbo back w/3" cat. Stock air box with boost controll. 19psi tapering down to 17 or so. On a Dyno Dynamics Dyno, i pulled 258 HP to the wheels on Map 0. 91 octane. I think you are reading high. I think it should be closer to mine. My injector duty cycle is 86%. I hit 95% with the K&N Typhoon intake installed, but removed it due to HUGH MAF sensor fluctuations. Flowing more air, i would guess maybe 270/275 or so.

okie cool, now I can adjust the drivetrain loss settings and the wind resistence settings.. since I have a target.. However I am fairly certain my car is making just over 300whp due to my 12.42 1/4 time..

And notice I also experience those MAF fluctuations.. my new blowthrough setup should smooth that out..

I did another plot that was closer to correct from another pull straight through 7650rpm.. 309whp

As best I can tell, figures quoted for whp are all relative to the unit used to measure it. More important I feel would be a stock starting point, then using this to measure against with each upgrade. As an example, I believe 4 stock evos were dynoed in our area on a mustang awd dyno. They ranged from 208 hp to 220 hp. I believe other types of dynos will give higher numbers (approx. 240 hp stock). By the way, my car, even with a Turbo XS BOV, had some trouble mainting a smooth boost curve, which then leads to jumpy hp and torque curves. I still plan on trying a MBC and fuel pump, although I may reconsider my next move depending on how your blow thru works out!

Well, the only figures I have from when my car was bone stock was 3 runs.. 1 which was a 12.93 and two 13.0x runs.. or thereabouts.. I based my HP on a calculation that is known to be fairly accurate, for crank HP and then took drivetrain loss out of it (18%) In any case, it was about 260 or so at the wheels.. These cars certainly are underrated..

Do you know what your A/F ratio was on your dyno pull? Different A/F ratios will affect injector duty cycles.

This particular pull was ultimately resulting in a really rich 10 to 1 ratio... after leaning it out my duty cycles are much lower..
