fuel

hey jerstan...nice numbers very nice, where do you have you max maf frequency set to. i had mine mapped really nice only to discover that i didnt raise the max maf value, but i dont know if i should put it at 26, which is what my turbo makes at 19.5 psi or 28 which is the 24 psi reading, but im going to lose allmy fuel settings and start all over again, would you be able to supply me with your fuel map. i would really appreciate it, i cant get to a dyno, and road tuning is way time consuming..i dont want to start all over again...
also does your engine load up between shifts during a run,, mine does just wondering how you fixed....
regards rick

Damn, 2800hz? I think your slowly approaching the max maf value that the stock MAF sensor will support..

If your MAF frequency is way lower than what your hitting under boost, then you should raise it to allow you to give yourself part throttle high boost open loop control..

Yeah, we didn't mess w/ the bleeder until we had made the main adjustment.

yep, that's what it was. the Tial bov is so tight that the air is not releasing fully. i'll have to order the lighter spring from Tial.

Nice Dyno numbers, seems as though you are having some boost issues. Also do you notice you are making peak power at low boost. Their is more left in that setup it has to be or i am just plain reading the plots wrong. Good numbers nontheless.

Yeah, we've got some boost issues. Not sure what's going on yet. Can't seem to find any leaks. There's still a lot of power to be made here, that's for sure.

Have you experimented with advancing the intake cam and retarding the exhaust cam?

yeah, not very good results. we were only trying a few degrees though the -3 intake/-1 exhaust proved to be the best for us so far.

It seems that the best idle comes from the -3/-1 or -4/-1 combos... time will tell what sort of upper RPM effect this will have.. Definitely been an interesting journey eh?

I know you've tried other cam settings, but have you looked at 0/0 or +1/+1? I think many of the euro guys are finding that advancing their cams (JUN and Piper - which are loosly based on JUNs) really helps the low end. My guess is that the offsets from stock are different than for a set of HKS cams.

I should have my car back later this week and will by doing some logging with my Pipers. I'm running an XEDE right now, but depending on how long it takes to get the tuning features I need, you may see me switch.

Good luck with getting things sorted.

I ran w/ those settings and had no luck. I actually just sold the kit. I just installed a new kit, and lets just say that I have not even tuned for it yet and the spool up starts way low and hits hard!! I'll post some new numbers very soon.
